Vans: Fluoresse collab
Task
Vans and Liberty have collaborated for almost a decade on a variety of styles, and released a new collaboration in Spring 2021.
To create consistency across the store and provide new opportunities for creativity, Platform13 curated the basement activity at Vans Covent Garden Boutique Store.
Approach
Hand in hand with floral studio Fluoresse, we brought to life the spirit of Liberty London in Vans Covent Garden.
To ensure anyone, whether nearby, at home, or in another city could get involved, it was important that we offered both IRL and URL activations that played to the creativity of both Fluoresse and Vans' audiences.
Output
As stores reopened, Fluoresse transformed the basement into a floral installation inspired by the Liberty collection. Dried and fresh flowers embellished in Fluoresse's signature style, recycled materials and floral scents filled the space.
A series of workshops were offered to Fluoresse and Vans audiences where they could apply to be sent a luxury package of materials to take part in a zoom workshop. Since places were limited, we shot 'how to' videos for each workshop so that no one missed out.
After the activations ended, we gave the flowers a new home at St. Joseph's Hospice to celebrate all the amazing work they do.
